Analysis of 3 advertisements that relate to your genre

The Drums - The Drums

This is the advertisement for the debut album by The Drums, an American Indie Pop band from New York. This is the same genre our artist Aimee Star.  The advert fits in with our genre as the shaggy curtain and hard floor make it obvious that the artist is of the indie genre also the picture shows that the venue is not a huge arena. Like The Drums, Aimee star will perform mainly at gigs rather than huge arena tours. Our audience will mainly be young people between the age of 14 - 25 who attend gigs and live and breathe the indie pop scene.

Ellie Goulding - Lights

 This is the debut album from Ellie Goulding called Lights, she is also of an indie pop gemre, this is evident with the unusual effects, her image is also not over styled, which shows the genre is not just pop. Also the black is evident of the genre being part indie. It relates to our audience as again people who would see ellie goulding at a gig would be young people presumably more females than males.

Florence and the Machine - Lungs

















This is the debut album from Florence and the Machine, she is also of the indie pop genre, like the other adverts dark colours/black is included in the colour scheme to represent the indie side of the genre, in my advert for Aimee Star i also include black. Again this links in with our audience as Florence performs at small gigs to mainly female audiences, with the similar age range.
